Buttock Implants – Hattiesburg

Buttock Implants or Gluteal Implants are designed to improve the contour of the buttocks. These implants are made of solid silicone, which, unlike breast implants, will not break and leak. The implants can be placed either in the muscle itself or underneath the muscle fascia. Dr. Bill Reno prefers to place the implants underneath the muscle fascia. They are placed through an incision between the buttocks in the midline. Through this incision a pocket is made on top of the muscle for the implant. The implant is positioned to mainly enlarge the upper buttock and the upper portion of the mid buttock. Liposuction of the hip region is often combined with Buttock Implants to achieve the best contour. Some prefer to enlarge the buttock area with Fat Injections as well.

You will need to be very careful for the first 3 to 4 weeks following surgery. Expect to wear a compression garment and avoid sitting except to go to the restroom. It will take several months for the swelling to go down.

The ideal candidate for Buttock Implant surgery is someone with a normal weight and good buttock skin tone.
