Brachioplasty / Arm Reduction
Candidates for brachioplasty are typically patients who have undergone considerable weight loss and desire cosmetic improvement in their arms to remove the so-called “bat-wings.” The incision extends along the inside of the arm from the armpit to the elbow, and the excess skin and fat is removed. It is typically done under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Compressive garments are worn for 4 to 6 weeks after surgery.
