Laser Tattoo Removal
We use a special "Q-switched" laser to treat tattoos. The laser is set at a certain wavelength and is used to break up the tattoo pigment. The body's own scavengers (macrophages) then come in and slowly take the pigment away.
The laser works best on older, darker colored tattoos but also works on multiple colors as well. One treatment is never enough. It takes an average of 5-6 treatments for most to achieve the fading they are looking for. The treatments are spaced 6-8 weeks apart. No anesthesia is required.
