Collagen and Botox®

If you want to improve the lines and wrinkles on your face without the time and expense of surgery, then collagen and/or Botox® may be for you. Both are in-office procedures that are relatively painless and can be performed the same day of your consultation. Collagen and Botox®, however, work in different ways to improve your appearance. Collagen fills out areas with deeper wrinkles and is most effective on the lines between the nose and cheeks and around the mouth. Botox® paralyzes the muscles that cause wrinkles in the first place and is most effective in the forehead region and around the eyes. Neither collagen nor Botox® is permanent. Effects typically last 4 to 6 months.
